Hope Solo: The World Famous Goalkeeper

Hope Solo is highly praised for her hard work on the soccer field! She is also known for her temper. The U.S. Soccer star got suspended for six months because of her inappropriate comments after the Sweden game. Sweden knocked the U.S. out the Rio Olympics finals. She called them a "bunch of cowards." Unfortunately, Solo's contract with the U.S. Soccer team got terminated. She will be known as the world's best goalkeeper who will never play for the U.S. soccer team again.

Now this is not her first incident that got her in trouble! Last year, Hope got banned from the team because her husband ex- NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens got arrested and charged with a DUI while they were in their minivan. Also the year before that she got charged for assaulting two of her family members. As we can see, Solo needs to get her personal life under control. So the termination could be the best thing for her to get herself together.

Well Rich Nicholas, the general counsel for the team, did not agree with the termination of Solo. He believes it is a violation of her first amendment. I also think it is because she is a woman. Junk talking in women's sports is always looked down upon.

Now think if it was LeBron James do you think that he would receive the same treatment? Probably not! We always see the MEN cursing out the refs, throwing mouth pieces at fans, and even getting in trouble with the law. BUT the only punishment they receive is game suspensions. I do not think that is fair!

Ladies, should the U.S. soccer team give the best goalie in the world another chance? Or is it three strikes you're out Solo?!
