Happy Friday folks! Welcome back to Freestyle Friday!
Fall season is approaching which means we have College and Professional Football back. The end of summer, we were pretty busy preparing for this time. From watching the top high school prospects’ first college practices to closely watching our favorite team’s OTAs, the excitement for Fall Football became overwhelming. Now the time is here!
College Football is one of my reasons why I love this time of year. The first college game hit pretty close to home for me…LITERALLY. My beloved Miami Hurricanes played versus the Florida Gators. The final score was 24-20 UF. It was tough to watch how both teams struggled during this game. It was pretty obvious that both teams would be focused on fixing their mistakes the following week. From long team meetings to the hardcore practices, UM and UF definitely need to work out some kinks. Nevertheless, it will always and forever be GO CANES!! (Let’s just figure out our QB situation)
This year's rankings are pretty much the same. Top 5: Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. One thing about NCAA football rankings, you never know where your favorite team will end up at the end of the season. Can’t wait to watch the season unfold!
Now NFL had a lot of chatter this summer. From the Saints’ Michael Thomas and Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliot becoming the highest paid players at their positions to the Brooklyn Rapper Jay-Z becoming a partner with the league. People were questioning if Thomas and Elliot were worth the money and why would Jay-Z partner with the NFL after what they did to Kaepernick. These stories had everyone focused on everything but the game. Last night was the first Thursday Night Football game of the regular season. It starred The Green Bay Packers vs the Chicago Bears. The final score was 10-3 Packers. Last night, the NFL fans had a ball discussing Trubisky’s performance. Fans were confused by his struggles in last night’s game. They wonder if the very little action during preseason play a role or whether he will ever develop into the QB Chicago needs. Let’s hope Trubisky shakes off the negative energy and get his game back. Let’s stay tuned to see how everyone’s season plays out!
Well that wraps up Freestyle Friday. Everyone have a great weekend. #FallFootballSeason
